ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Following a thumping victory in last week’s general elections, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and Prime Minister-in-waiting Imran Khan will take oath at President House (Aiwan-e-Sadr), party spokesperson Naeemul Haq said Wednesday. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that leaders of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony.

The PTI spokesperson said that Pakistan’s economy is facing severe economic crisis as the masses weren’t provided their due rights for the last 70 years. Haq said that the PTI-led government will provide relief to the general public soon after taking office, adding that 10 million jobs will be provided in its five year tenure.
He went on to say that party leader Asad Umer has started preparations to put the country’s economy on track.“Messages are being poured in from around the world for investment in Pakistan,” he said and asked the people to be ready for a golden era.“The PTI government will take revolutionary steps to resolve issues of masses.”The PTI spokesman said that world leaders including Indian PM Narendra Modi, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan telephoned Imran Khan to felicitate him over his thumping victory.
Haq said: “Not a single foreign dignitary has ever attended the oath-taking ceremony in Pakistan, however, leaders of SAARC countries are expected to attend the oath-taking ceremony of PTI chairman Imran Khan.Earlier, former cricket star Imran Khan s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had won majority in the country s general elections and is ready to form the central government.The PTI had taken the decisive lead by winning 116 seats against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former President Asif Zardari s Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) which won 64 and 43 seats, respectively.
Besides these three major parties, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Pakistan won 13 seats, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan six seats,Pakistan Muslim League and Balochistan Awami Party four seats each, Balochistan National Party and Grand Democratic Alliance two seats each, Awami Muslim League Pakistan, Awami National Party, Jamhoori Wattan Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaniat one seat each. On Friday, Naeemul Haq, a spokesperson of Imran Khan, said that they had successfully got the required numbers to get the simple majority in the house.
